Pour coffee or drip coffee? What do you prefer? Initially, I was a lover of instant coffee as they are very convenient to make. But as I tasted the coffee from a freshly ground coffee, my perception towards coffee completely changed. I keep both coffee beans and coffee grounds.

I was very delighted to hear that Atlas coffee club offers both coffee beans and grounds. I ordered two bags of Indian coffee. The coffee beans are sourced from Tamil Nadu. In my subscription plan, I choose all types of roast to receive various types of coffee flavors in future packages.

The coffee came in a nicely packed box. However, the coffee bags do not have zip locks to keep the air out. They do add ziplock or vacuum seal because the coffee beans are freshly roasted which will give a long-lasting flavor until you finish your pack. Though I have kept the bag in a sealed container and stored it in a dark place.

The package came with

  • 2 bags of coffee.
  • a postcard with the picture of the country of origin of coffee.
  • A manual with the tasting notes and tips of the coffee.

Among all the beverages, I regularly drink tea and coffee. I avoid carbonated drinks as they contain sugar. When I was ordering my coffee they were providing the coffee brown and produced in India. I never had an Indian coffee before.

The coffee beans are grown in Yercaud at an altitude of 1300 to 1600meters. They are fully washed and medium roasted. In the brewing tips card, they said it is best to pour-over coffee. I did not have Chemex but I managed with filter paper and a mug.

I folded the filter paper in a funnel shape, added some coffee grounds, and poured hot water from time to time. The aroma is not too light or too intense. It took a lot of time to pour over the coffee. As I got the coffee, I took a sip. It had a light sweet taste. In the card, it was mentioned they have tasting notes of marzipan, milk chocolate, and raisin.

Coffee comes in bags of two different sizes. The smallest bags contain 6 ounces of coffee which serve 15 cups of coffee. Another bag occupies 12 ounces that brew 30 cups of coffee. The other packages like double bags, three bags, and four bags are made by giving 2, 3, and 4 bags of 12 ounces coffee.

You can either order whole bean or ground coffee. Coffee addicts love to control the flavors of their coffee and they prefer whole beans which they will freshly grind to make coffee. If you don't have time for grinding, you can opt for coffee grounds.
